How do set the time via the internet? (Back to top)

To set the time via the internet:

1. WinShip sets the time automatically and synchronizes your entire network within one minute.
2. On the computer which acts as the server click: Options, General.
3. If the slave or email slave is also on that machine double click the light bulb (blue or white of both) Options click server.

3. Click set time with Internet (no need to change email slave).

1. To set time atomically (from computer connected to Internet) click Set Time from the pull down menu (this will set the time within one (1) second of the exact time).
2. One second difference is due to Internet delays.

• After atomically setting time it is possible for slave is down, email slave is down and fax is down to turn red. They should turn back to grey within one minute.
• Important note for NT: This program may require special consideration for NT.  Please consult your Network administrator if you are running NT or 2000  and the Set Time feature does not work.  You must be given time setting privileges from your administrator.
